Leatherman Surge Review and Multitool Mentalities – Preparedmind101

Video Rating: / 5

  1. hey mate just wanted to say I really liked your video it was very informative ,lots of information love the visual's thank you.

  2. my favorite knife is probably the swiss army black classic SD because my grampa died my grama told me he had a swiss army red classic and before that he had a black one

  3. I dont think those are all nail files

  4. I still have/use a Leatherman Supertool. Pain in the butt to use except for pliers. Seems multitools have realy come a long way over the years.

  5. I tried to flip my Leatherman open like you did with your SOG in the intro and threw it across the room.

  6. What's an awl?

  7. I've owned them all and though the Swiss tools are the best quality
The ingenuity/function on the leatherman tools is bar none.
You want the BEST,get a leatherman super tool 300 or a surge

  8. are they the ONLY 10 youve got

  9. I bought the Sidekick over the wingman because I got mine for the outdoors, and the saw and straight edge blade, to me, are more useful than the scissors and part serrated blade.

  10. I have cut short viewing your video because fo the constant use of the speech filler, "um". Sorry, but it is maddening.

  11. Have a ps4, one of the plier ends broke off under relatively light use. Not a happy owner.

  12. You say that Weave and TTi are very similar. Could you compare them then, please? Does titanium make it better in any way? And how much better is the knife material?

  13. I have my Leatherman Surge and Victorinox Spirit and both have saved me on multiple occasions great multitools

  14. SOG & Gerber are garbage. The pliers broke on every single multi I ever had from those brands. I went ith SOG after breaking 3 Gerbers, & broke both the SOGs I got.

Sticking with Leatherman from now on. More expensive, but Leatherman pliers are built like tanks.

  15. I just went out and ordered the Victorinox Spirit because of your review.Thank you!

  16. I have owned most of these, I have to say that the Gerber let me down as I found through normal use (for me, a critical facilities tech) I had a couple of snapped tools, namely screw drivers. The Victorinox is nice, but I find their SAKs have a better tool selection in a smaller package. The SOG is just damn nice. Good selection of tools, great pliers, excellent fit and finish. But right now I carry a Victorinox S557 in the pocket with a Leatherman Crunch on my belt for work. And an Victorinox Explorer Plus for outside of work.

  17. Its biased to miss out the Swiss Army Champ-.

  18. And,,,, Than you show a more expensive tool (knives or what ever). So my Fav's is the Leather Charge TTi, I like the blade steel, the size and the add-on tools.

  19. Nice video, good attention to the little details such as how it feels in your hand. You did forget to mention the little flathead driver located at the top of many of the tools (e.g. the Spirit's cap lifter and can opener) though. Also, the "nail file" is actually just a file. For filing metal and wood and other materials. Most of use it for out nails–I certainly do–but it's good for people to know the range of uses it has.
