In this heavily tutorial-focused Let’s Play, we’ll be taking a look at Subnautica, an open-world sandbox survival game by indie developer Unknown Worlds.
Please note that much of the information contained within this video is no longer accurate as a result of updates to the game. However, I have rebooted the series! Here’s the new series, which DOES reflect the changes: https://youtu.be/Li1OEpxQwOI?list=PL3e14exB92LIcBe-HZ5tXNNOkOnACiFsK
In the first chapter of our Subnautica survival guide, I’ll we’ll be learning how to gather resources and get our hands on the basic necessities for survival: food and water.
This is an early-access game currently available on Steam for .99. It was released originally in mid-december 2014, and although it is far from complete, it is really starting to shape up into something special.

About Unknown Worlds:
Unknown Worlds is an independent game company in San Francisco, CA (team and office videos). The Unknown Worlds story began with the release of Natural Selection on Halloween 2002. NS exploded onto the Half-Life modding scene: It equalled the original Team Fortress for player numbers and was critically acclaimed. Combining strategy an shooter genres, the game offered players a unique team-based multiplayer experience. Recognising the potential of the Natural Selection concept, and wishing to take it further, Charlie formally founded Unknown Worlds with Max McGuire in 2006.
