Emergency Survival Bag from Harbor Freight Tools: A Survival / Bug Out Bag Challenge

Emergency Survival Bag from Harbor Freight Tools: A Survival / Bug Out Bag Challenge

- in Survival Skills

This survival/emergency kit was put together with items from only Harbor Freight Tools. This, like the other ‘one store’ survival kits that I’ve put together, was a challenge for me to see if I could build a solid kit without spending weeks or months, and without purchasing from a variety of different survival/outdoor retailers. Overall, I think Harbor Freight offers some pretty decent items for a kit like this. They didn’t carry any food or water, and some of the items I would have liked to add were not available. However, I’d say that you can build a basic emergency survival kit from this store. Check it out.

  1. no offense or anything, but why do people need to buy so much stuff for??

  2. Нормахаммад Нурманов

  3. Some of the things from harbor freight that have held up and served me well…..The LED little lights you often get free, the digital meters you often get free, the recharge drill and light combos by Chicago tool and drillmaster, the jump start power packs, the bolt cutters, I cant think of other stuff offhand but I have a bunch of stuff from them. I'm sure there are things that don't hold up, but so far I have been lucky.

  4. That's a good setup

  5. Harbor freight sells a fence tool. It cuts heavy wire and cable, it's a hammer, pulls nails, pliers and crowbar all in one.

  6. Matthew Iglehart

Also if its a car kit, wheres the portable air compressor small ones

  7. Matthew Iglehart

love your channel of your videos men. I'm the Phillips screwdriver that you pulled out of the bag that you said had a flat head bit on the inside. Why don't you just put a multi-tool in there that would be more Universal. and most of them are small and compact so you can stick them in a bag and you can use them in a variety of ways which you already know. Just my suggestion I'm still fairly kinda new to this whole EDC bug-out thing but I know in my bag I carry a multi-tool

  8. Jeffrey Donaldson

your hf must suck any i have been to sell some basic camp cook kits or small pans

  9. Sorry but that bag seemed full of a bunch of junk & a tape measure?

  10. if you actually look close at the packaging for the 3 pack of plastic botlles it says they are not ment for food use. I assume that means it wouldn't be a good idea to use them for water storage either.

  11. :/ have you ever been in the woods, or camp sight, bike trail? cus really some poor and useless, suplerflous choices. axe and tarp great but beyond that idk what your expecting lol

  12. collectorbob810

state troops reports, the victim had water, food ,shelter, but lost his battle for survival due to the lack of a 16 foot tape measure .

  13. eli wagner rincon

    do a dollar tree please

  14. Frederick Kaludis

For boiling water look to the local secondhand store, Stainless steel bowls are about $1.00 they are a great buy

  15. Slightly Rednecked

all that fire starting stuff and not a single bic lighter? Best fire starter on the planet and takes up as much room as a handful of matches. :)

  16. WoodwardBMX 1939

pittsburgh and western safety ARE harbor freights brands

  17. You should do Ace Hardware.

  18. I know youve done this with walmart, lowes, homedepot. Have you ever thought of trying target ?

  19. Bet your life on Harbor freight… You end up dead!

  20. I get so many coupons from harbor freight, if I was willing to make multiple trips, half the stuff would be free! Since I pass one every day, it wouldn't be too hard.
